Bye Bye
“Bye, Bye” is a song from the Branson Loft days—we played it live for our friends after many Thursday night feedings. And for all of you who write and ask about it, “Bye, Bye” is also the theme song at the beginning of “The Final Word” bible teaching videos.
The original music video for “Bye, Bye” (below) was filmed on the roof of the Tic Toc Loft in Springfield, MO. It was also the very first video that I edited—ever. I thought the General (that would be Gary) might start me out on something a little more elementary, but no. He sat me down (on the floor, as we had no chairs in Texas yet) at the computer (which I believe was sitting on a box at the time), and informed me that I was going to edit our first music video. Hilarious.
Yep, another Web-A-Thon boot camp (Web-A-Thon 2007 to be exact). That was the year we did Web-A-Thon with no internet—Gary would walk to the public library in the Texas heat, carrying the hard drive in his bag (they were much larger then), and upload the Web-A-Thon episodes from the public access computers. And they thought we were trying to raise money…

Bye, Bye
Do you want to know My Name?
-This is why I came
Honey we’re not all the same-
Gotta know
The Name.
Is there a Way
We can go
From these shadows that I know?-
Is there a Way
We can be together?-
Is there a Way
We can go
From these shadows that I know?-
Is there a Way
We can be together?-
Save me
Take me over
Make me over
Make me free
Take me
Six -feet -under…
Tear asunder
Death from me-
—Death from me—.
